THIS ART GOES OUT TO THOSE WHO FEEL PEOPLE ARE STARING because they are flaring 👀

THIS ART GOES OUT TO THOSE WHO FEEL PEOPLE ARE STARING because they are flaring 👀 The physical inability to do things during a flare isn’t always the worst part.

It’s the overthinking.

When my skin is red and inflamed, I always think people are staring at it.

Granted sometimes they are but often it’s the anxiety making me think they are as I myself am staring at it and constantly checking.

I designed this to give me the power and tell those who are genuinely staring to f* off with a simple point to my hoodie. I’m now at the stage where I’m sharing when I’m flaring & I’m not caring if people are staring.

But when I worked in hospitality and took food to tables, I always thought people were staring at my hands when the reality is most of them were staring at their food arriving. I used to prepare what I’d say if someone stared at me when I worked in hospitality so I could educate them.

Often stares arent judgment, they’re a curiosity. Still, they DO NOT make us feel great no matter the intention. If you normally experience feelings of anxiety before going out, I recommend you take time to plan ahead to try and reduce how often they will arise;

✨ Don’t assume the worst ✨Don’t worry about things beyond your control ✨Don’t stay longer than you want ✨Lean on your support system and give them a heads up in advance ✨Build in time for relaxation post going out ✨Give yourself a break from being social when needed ✨

Recently share your flares online/ in the streets? I want to personally welcome you to the ITCHY GANG.
