YOU have the power to help others feel more comfortable in their own skin.

As Mental Health Awareness Week draws to a close I just want to raise the fact we can all 𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨.

Being different from the ‘norm’ doesn’t make you any less than others.

in fact, it gives you the power to help others feel more comfortable in their own skin.

The biggest gift I can give anyone is PERSPECTIVE. Ask yourself these questions;

1). Did I ask for this skin condition? NO.
2). Can I control it all the time? NO.
3). Is other people’s reactions my problem? NO.

Considering all these answers why are you blaming yourself, hiding your reality, and suffering in silence? We all need to remind ourselves we didn’t choose to have a skin condition so why should we allow others to treat us like we had a choice?

We have to take a deep breath and learn to love, heal and deal with the card we’re dealt. The last thing we need is to put any more pressure on ourselves than our inflamed body is already.

When it comes to healing choices it’s YOUR BODY, YOUR CHOICE.

What works for someone’s aunt won’t necessarily work for you, and vice versa. Don’t allow others’ opinions, traumas, or experiences to impact your healing journey. Allow it to educate you but not control you.

If it works for YOU, it works! at the end of the day that is all.

You are not them and they are not you. Healing takes time but hurtful comments can last a lifetime in someone’s mind.

in a world you can be anything be kind and listen.

Don’t try to fix people simply listen and support.

Eczema flares come & go… BUT MINDSET IS FOREVER.
