Growing up, these gals needed to see people like themselves painted in a positive light instead of something to fix or a before and after to avoid hating or hiding their reality. Representation helps others feel comfortable, beautiful, and like they belong.

For me, representation means EMPOWERMENT of yourself and others. It means seeing and instantly feeling a huge overwhelming sense of BELONGING. It means being inspired and then inspiring others yourself, simply for showing your real skin.
It also means GROWTH.
No one can hurt you because you are acknowledging your insecurities and taking control of your narrative.
It’s NORMALIZING NORMAL SKIN.
Which with time also evolves into ACCEPTANCE.
